In a Plunder battle, city defenses of the defensive side do not appear in the battlefield. The attacking side can pillage only the resources that are not protected in warehouses and cannot get Gold.

In a Seize battle, city defenses of the defensive side appear in the battlefield. The attacking side cannot win until it reduces the Wall duration of the defensive side to 0. The wall provides defense and a range bonus to the defensive side. The attacking side can take as much gold and resources as they can carry, limited by Idle Load.
